Prior to starting the treatment?

Before starting the DPL® Therapy treatment, clean your face really well. Use a normal cleanser, for instance the Dermalogica®:Skin Resurfacing Cleanser. For the best results we recommend using the DPL® Therapy System the first 6 weeks, 17 minutes a day, after achieving the results you are looking for, this can often happen well within this period, you can switch to two or three 17 minute sessions a week.

During the treatment

The DPL® Therapy System has been designed to treat the entire face in just one session. Place the system, in the stand on a level surface en sit in front of it. Turn the system on by briefly pressing the on/off switch on the master panel. You will hear a single beep and the LEDs turn on. Note that the infrared leds work but are invisible to the human eye. Place your face as close the panels, without touching them. Keep your eyes closed for the duration of the session. The system will turn off automatically.

When will I see results?

While results differ from person to person, most customers report seeing and feeling results in the first week. The skin feels smoother, creme applies easier and the skin looks more vibrant. Wrinkles and fine lines will start the fade, and in some cases even completely disappear, but the time for that to happen differs substantially and is highly dependant on many factors. For instance smoking, diet, work environment, (excess) exposure to sunlight, genetics can all negatively affect the skin and the ability of the DPL® Therapy System to repair the skin.

How do wrinkles disappear?

The pure RED LED's and the INFRARED LED's of the DPL® Therapy System penetrate deep into the epidermus. Situated in the epidermus are the fibroblasts. These cells are responsible for creating elasting and collagen. The light energy generated by the RED LED's stimulates these fibroblasts, resulting in increased production of elastin and collagen and a smoother, firmer, younger looking skin.
